There are generally three process methods for manufacturing titanium equipment: forming method, casting method and powder metallurgy method.
Forming method can prepare large-scale titanium equipment with arbitrary complexity, which is the most important process method. Casting method and powder metallurgy method are suitable for equipment and parts with small size and not very complex shape, but they have the characteristics of short process flow and low cost in mass production. Large titanium equipment generally needs to go through pressure forming, machining, welding, surface treatment and other processes. Small monomer equipment such as titanium pump, Qin valve and titanium impeller are often produced by casting method. Powder metallurgy is considered for products with special functions such as titanium filter.
The first process of material preparation in titanium equipment manufacturing is scribing. The purpose of scribing is to draw the boundary line of sheet metal cutting and processing, which will have a great impact on the later assembly and welding process. Scribing includes scribing blanking line, processing line, position line and inspection line, and marking with necessary marks. Cutting, stamping, cutting (gas cutting, water cutting or plasma cutting) or cutting can be used for titanium blanking. titanium alloy tube and pure titanium rod and titanium alloy rod can be cut by mechanical methods such as sawing machine, pipe cutting machine and grinding wheel cutting machine. Iron ion pollution must be prevented in each process, and the edge processing of titanium material must adopt the method of mechanical cutting.
