Application

ASTM B337/B338 titanium tube has high strength and low density, good mechanical properties, good toughness and corrosion resistance. It is divided into titanium alloys Ti-6Al-4V(Gr.5),Ti-5Al-2.5Sn(Gr.6) and industrial pure titanium (Gr.1, Gr.2 ,Gr.3 and Gr.4). Titanium alloy is mainly used to make aircraft engine compressor parts, followed by rockets, missiles and high-speed aircraft structural parts. In industry, it is used in heat exchange equipment, such as tubular heat exchanger, coil heat exchanger, serpentine tube heat exchanger, condenser, evaporator and transmission pipeline, etc. Many nuclear power industries use titanium tubes as standard tubes for their units. They are used to make electrodes for the electrolysis industry, condensers for power stations, heaters for oil refining and seawater desalination, and environmental pollution control devices. In addition, it is also used to produce hydrogen storage materials and shape memory alloys.

Tolerance

1. The chemical composition of ASTM B337/B338 titanium tube shall comply with the provisions of GB/T3620.1. When the buyer rechecks, the allowable deviation of chemical composition of Mingkun Titanium industry shall comply with the provisions of GB/T3620.2.

2. The allowable deviation of ASTM B337/B338 titanium tube wall thickness shall not exceed ±12.5% of its nominal wall thickness. The allowable deviation of pipe wall thickness is not applicable to the weld of titanium welded pipe.

2. The fixed length or double length of the ASTM B337/B338 titanium tube shall be within the range of its variable length, and the allowable deviation of the fixed length shall be +10mm. The double length shall also be included in the amount of cutting when the pipe is cut, and the amount of each cut shall be 5mm.
