Taking titanium and titanium alloy tubes for heat exchangers and condensers as an example, the national standard is GB / T 3625-2007 and the American standard is astmb338. Titanium welded tubes and titanium seamless tubes have little difference or even the same in chemical composition, mechanical properties and process properties. With the progress of titanium welded pipe welding and heat treatment technology, domestic thin-walled titanium welded pipe generally adopts single gun or multi gun TIG / paw self fusion welding. After welding, the on-line heat treatment process is adopted. By optimizing the welding and annealing process, the microstructure of base metal, weld and heat affected zone is basically close, and the welding stress is eliminated to homogenize the weld structure. Through comparison, it is found that the weld composition of titanium welded pipe is basically the same as that of the base metal, and the mechanical properties and anti-corrosion properties of the weld are the same as those of the base metal.

Titanium welded pipe is welded with cold rolled coil, with uniform wall thickness, good concentricity, good finish and not easy to scale in the pipe. In particular, the thin-walled titanium tube produced by seamless rolling process can not meet its technical requirements. After rolling or drawing process, it is difficult to achieve a wall thickness of less than 1 mm; Titanium welded pipe can achieve wall thickness of 0.5 mm and below, saving a lot of materials and costs. At the same time, due to the thin wall thickness of titanium welded pipe, higher heat transfer coefficient and better heat transfer effect can be obtained.

titanium strip uncoiling → shear butt welding → looper storage → titanium strip cleaning → pipe shape forming → welding → weld eddy current flaw detection → predetermined diameter → on-line annealing → fine sizing / straightening → eddy current flaw detection → laser diameter measurement → on-line code spraying → fixed length cutting → ultrasonic flaw detection → fine sizing / flat head → air tightness test → finished product inspection → packaging and warehousing.
