Grade 4 Titanium Plate

In China, industrial pure titanium is divided into four levels according to the amount of impurity elements, namely TA1, TA2, TA3 and TA4. They basically correspond to grade 1 ~ 4 titanium in the United States, namely gr.1, gr.2, gr.3 and gr.4.

With the decrease of purity, the strength and hardness of industrial pure titanium increase, while the plasticity, impact toughness and fatigue resistance decrease. Grade 3 and Grade 4 can be selected when the requirements for strength, hardness and wear resistance are high, and Grade 1 and Grade 2 can be used when good formability is required

Grade 4 titanium plate is a α Type titanium alloy, which is stable at room temperature and service temperature α Type single-phase state, can not be strengthened by heat treatment (annealing is the only form of heat treatment), mainly relying on solid solution strengthening.

grade 4 titanium plate room temperature strength is generally lower than β'> Type and α+β The strength and creep strength at high temperature (500-600 ℃) are the highest among the three types of titanium alloys; It has stable structure, good oxidation resistance and welding performance, good corrosion resistance and machinability, but low plasticity (thermoplastic is still good) and poor stamping performance at room temperature. Grade 6 is the most widely used one. It has medium strength, sufficient plasticity and good weldability in the annealed state, and can be used below 500 ℃; When the content of interstitial impurity elements (oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, etc.) is very low, it also has good toughness and comprehensive mechanical properties at ultra-low temperature. It is one of the excellent ultra-low temperature alloys.

The tensile strength of grade 4 titanium plate is slightly higher than that of industrial pure titanium, which can be used as structural materials in the medium strength range. It is mainly used as welding wire in China and is widely used in high-end electroplating hanger industry abroad.

There are two Executive Standards for titanium plate in China : GB / t3621-2007 and GB / t13810-2007,

American standards are ASTM B265, ASTM F136, ASTM F67 and AMS4928.

American Grade : GR1, GR2, GR3, GR5, GR7, GR12

Russian tag No.: BT1-00, BT1-0, BT1-2, etc

Chinese Grade : TA0, TA2, TA3, TA5, TA6, TA7, TA9, TA10, TB2, TC1, TC2, TC3, TC4
