Detailed introduction of Titanium alloy Gr 5 :

TC4 chemical grouping Ti-6Al-4V, also known as GR5, we will call it 6Al4V, which is the most widely used titanium alloy, usually we use titanium alloy refers to it. It has good strength and elongation. TC4 has poor stamping property and good thermoplasticity. It  can be welded in various forms, which welding joint strength can reach 90% of the base metal strength. Machining performance is good, need to use hard alloy cutting tool, large cutting capacity, slow speed and full cooling. It has good corrosion resistance and thermal stability. It is one of the most widely used titanium alloys to do long-term work below 400℃ parts.

Operating essentials（for titanium sheet)

1. Manual argon arc welding, welding wire and welding parts should be kept as small Angle (10~15°). The welding wire shall be sent into the molten pool smoothly and evenly along the front end of the molten pool, and the end of the welding wire shall not be moved out of the argon gas protection zone.

2. During welding, the welding strength should not swing horizontally. When it is necessary to swing, the frequency should be low and the swing range should not be too large, so as to avoid affecting the protection of argon gas.

3, arc breaking and weld end, to continue the argon protection, until the weld and the heat affected zone metal cooling to 350℃ below the welding can be removed. , etc.
