Main features: titanium is a new type of metal. The performance of titanium is related to the content of impurities such as carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen and oxygen. The performance of 99.5% industrial pure titanium is: density of about 4.51g/cm3, melting point of 1672 ℃, thermal conductivity of 15.24w / (m · K), tensile strength of 539mpa, elongation of 25%, reduction of area of 25% and elastic modulus of 1.078 × 105 MPa, hardness hb195.

The models of titanium alloy welding rod mainly include:

Ti6Al4V # Eli, GR7, GR9, gr11, Gr12, gr23, ti15333, etc. 

Titanium welding rod can be divided into titanium alloy welding rod and pure titanium welding rod according to the material

Executive standard: AWS A5.16、GB/T3623、ASTMB865.

Precautions for use of titanium alloy welding rod

(1) Construction personnel and welders shall wear clean white gauze gloves (cotton gloves are strictly prohibited). 

(2) it is forbidden to touch and touch iron objects in the treated welding area.  

(3) Welding shall be carried out indoors as far as possible, and the ambient wind speed shall be ≤ 0.5m/s to avoid being affected by ventilation. 

(4) during welding, short arc welding shall be adopted as far as possible, small welding heat input shall be adopted, and the included angle between nozzle and weldment shall be maintained at 70 ~ 80 degrees.  

(5) . when the nozzle is positioned and welded, the butt joint gap is generally about 0.5mm.  

(6) . each weld shall be welded at one time as far as possible. For the weld that must be welded, the interface shall be cleaned before welding, and the lap length of the weld flesh shall be 10 ~ 15mm.

(7) During welding, the welding torch shall not swing left and right, and the melting end of the welding wire shall not move out of the gas protection area.

(8) air supply shall be carried out in advance during arc striking. The welding torch cannot be lifted immediately during arc extinguishing. Air supply shall be delayed until the temperature drops below 250 ℃.  

(9) . the distance between the gas protection towing cover and the welding torch shall be short, and the contact gap with the pipe wall shall be as small as possible. During butt welding of pipes, in order to meet the requirements of single-sided welding and double-sided forming, the welding is divided into two times: one is back sealing welding (filling materials can not be used for back sealing welding), and the other is forming welding. During multi-layer welding, the next weld pass must be welded after the previous weld pass is completely cooled.
