Gr.9 Titanium Sheet

Gr.9 titanium sheet is the titanium fabricated sheet material, is a kind of near alloy α Ti-3Al-2.5V titanium alloy is developed as a cold working pipe application. At room temperature and high temperature, its strength is 20% - 50% higher than that of pure titanium, and its weldability and cold formability are better than Gr.5 alloy. Gr.9 titanium sheet is generally used in the annealing state, or in the cold working and stress relief annealing state. The maximum working temperature is about 315 ° C.

Gr.9 titanium seamless pipe is suitable for aircraft and engine hydraulic and fuel pipeline systems. The alloy can also be rolled into foil and strip. The former is mostly used in aircraft honeycomb structure.

1) Anneal

The annealing of pipes and plates shall be carried out in the vacuum furnace, the absolute pressure in the furnace shall not be higher than 0.09pa, the heating temperature shall be in the range of 650-790 ℃, the fluctuation range of furnace temperature shall be ± 15 ℃, the heat preservation shall be 30-120min, and the furnace shall be cold.

2) Stress relief annealing

According to GJB 3763-1999 specification for heat treatment of titanium and titanium alloys. 370-600 ℃, 15-240min, air cooling or furnace cooling.

The alloy shall be melted in vacuum consumable electrode arc furnace for more than two times.

Gr.9 titanium pipe has been used as hydraulic, fuel and other pipeline systems in high-tech military, aerospace and civil flight hunger in the United States. It has also been used as air conditioning pipeline in transport aircraft in China, and will be used in Aeroengine pipeline system. The alloy is suitable for manufacturing parts requiring strength, oxidation resistance and welding performance when the working temperature is below 315 ℃.

Gr.9 alloy pipe is recommended to be used to manufacture pressure bearing pipeline systems such as hydraulic, fuel, lubricating oil and air of aircraft and aeroengine. Gr.9 titanium sheet,Plates, strips and foils are used in aircraft honeycomb structure, and can also be used as other parts requiring strength, cold forming and welded structure.
